22nd July – 2nd September | Tuesdays | 19:00 – 21:30
Building on our popular Singing Songs course, Scenes and Songs will take your improvised singing skills to the next level and put them to work in your scenes and stories.
Over the 7 weeks of this course, you’ll explore how improvised scenes and songs can play beautifully together to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts, covering topics such as:
- How music can act as an extra character or player in your scenes
- Using songs to express a character’s deepest emotions
- Building characters and the world of your story through song
All voices are welcomed.
This course is part of our Level 2 Performing Improv programme. Completion of Level 1 courses (or equivalent beginner-to-intermediate training) is recommended, but not required.
Who is this course for?
- Students who have completed Performing L1: Singing Songs and want to take the next step
- Performers who have some improv experience and want to develop their skills with improvised songs, bring music to their scenes and characters
