5th July – 6th July (Two-day intensive) | 10:00 – 17:00
Sharing 18:00 – 19:00 on Sunday 6th July
Explore exciting themes from the world of fantasy adventure including:
- Monsters, creatures and species.
- Journeys, locations and maps.
- Characters and protagonists.
- Quests, traps and devices.
- Storytelling and adventure.
- Mythology, folklore and fantasy.
- World building.
We will then be putting it all together into an improvised fantasy show with costumes, audience-inspired maps, fantasy characters, magical elements and exciting stories.
You don’t need to know anything about the genre beforehand, but will need previous long-form or narrative experience.
There will be an (optional!) sharing of the format for an invited audience of friends and family at 6pm on the Sunday evening.
Katy will be bringing her dog Pooka to the class – Pooka won’t be improvising, but will be in the room.
