Directing improvised theatre and/or comedy shows is a magical experience; bringing a group of creative humans together and finding ways to explore a collective creative vision. In this class, we explore different approaches to directing to help empower and inspire.
This includes:
– identifying & communicating a vision for a show
– designing rehearsal and skills sessions around a vision
– incorporating ensemble feedback into a vision
– feedback and coaching techniques
If you are a budding improviser with an idea that you are looking to bring to life, a member of an existing performing group in a leadership role, or just want to add directing to your toolkit as an improviser or performer, this is the class for you.
