From theatre school classes to double bill shows, here’s what you can expect to kick off 2025 in style.

Learn, Laugh, and Grow with the BIT Theatre School

January is the perfect time to dive into the world of improv, and the BIT Theatre School has a range of classes designed for all experience levels. If you’re looking to build your confidence, or you simply want to add some spontaneity, creativity and laughter to your life, we’ve got you covered.

  • Discovering Improv: Discover the joy of spontaneous storytelling in this beginner-friendly course that covers the basics of improv. Build confidence, unleash creativity, and have a great time doing it.
  • Intro to Performing Improv: this six-week course will immerse you in the fundamentals of improvising for an audience through games, exercises, and scenes. Our experienced facilitators will guide and support you on your journey towards performing.

Classes fill up quickly, so make sure to secure your spot early! For full details and to book your place, click here.

Double the Laughs: Double Bill Shows

Looking for a lively night out? Our Double Bill Shows bring two fantastic improv acts to the stage, giving you twice the fun in one evening. These performances showcase the best local and visiting talent, blending quick wit, unique storytelling, and unpredictable twists.

Don’t miss out:

  • Last Groundhog Day on Earth: Two improv acts collide to create an improvised comedy show that would be a worthwhile evening for your last day on earth, even if you had to re-live it every night!

  • Giant Steps & H.E.L.E.N: Improvisation meets improvisation as top UK comedians and virtuoso jazz musicians inspire each other in real time to create an unparalleled live experience. With support from H.E.L.E.N, who pioneered the H.E.L.E.N comedy home delivery service, which as far as is known, is the first of its kind. They specialise in enacting Freudian nightmares. They are in no way affiliated with the Basque Separatist movement of the same name.
