In a world of moustache-twirling villains, happy-go-lucky scamps, and swooning ingenues who definitely (probably) won’t die, Sir Phillip Bin guides us through a Dickensian story with a twist.

Bleak Expectations is the theatrical version of Mark Evans’ award-winning radio series. Absurd and camp, this parody tells the story of Pip Bin and his friends as they navigate the rigid expectations of Victorian England, the evil machinations of Mr Gently Benevolent, and a surprising number of swans. Will hope prevail? Will evil be vanquished? Will the moral subtext be clear enough? Only time (and a reasonably priced ticket) will tell.
