We run drop-in sessions and jams to give you a chance to introduce yourself to improv, hone your skills and play with others.
Every Monday, our weekly drop-in is a fun place for people with all experience. Regularly taught by John Gallagher (Bristol Longform Comedy), these 2-hour sessions are a great way to get your improv fix as they are tailored to the students in the room.
Our monthly all-women drop-ins are a fun, supportive environment to explore characters and narratives that defy cliché. Taught by a range of female instructors including Imogen Palmer (Artistic Director of the Delight Collective), Rachael Proctor-Lane (Degrees of Error, Closer Each Day) and other badass women.
Please note: We are using an inclusive definition of ‘woman’ and ‘female’ and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people.
Singing Songs Drop-In
Open to all abilities, the Singing Songs Drop-in is a chance to flex your improvising musical muscles in a supportive and encouraging environment. Each 3 hour drop-in will focus on a different area covering everything from diving in, group numbers, duets and using songs in scenes.
The Theatre Jam is your chance to get up on the main stage and play with other improvisers from across Bristol. Join in with short form games and theatrical scenes in this incredibly fun, collaborative evening.
The host of the show leads a warm-up in the theatre for performers from 7.30 – 7.55 so you will be raring to go by the first half.
