DESCRIPTION:Friday 30th August | 20:00 (doors open 19:30)\nGet ready for a takeover!  \nBristol Longform Comedy will be taking charge of the Bristol Improv Theatre to show you the wide range of wonderful improv troupes Bristol has to offer.  \nBristol Longform Comedy (BLC) is a community-oriented group who shines a light on American-Style Longform Improv. American Longform is a continuous improvised piece inspired by an audience suggestion\, structured like sketch comedy\, rather than a play. \nTheir takeover will show you the wide range of wonderful improv Bristol has to offer. There will be two established groups\, Beansville and Jazz Police\, and the Takeover Team: a community troupe created just for the night. \nCome along for an evening jam-packed with entertainment and comedy! \nBeansville presents: The Workplace\nIt’s another day at the office… the shop… the factory… or maybe even that weird place you once worked. You know the one. With all of the romances\, rivalries\, politics and performance issues you’d expect\, all made up on the spot in this improvised workplace comedy. \nBristol-based improvisers Beansville invite you to watch the pilot episode of a wholly improvised workplace comedy based on your suggestions. \nJazz Police \nSince forming in 2019\, Jazz Police have performed improv comedy all over the UK\, including at the Edinburgh International Improv Festival and the Birmingham Comedy Festival. Prepare to dive headfirst into a world of side-splitting scenes and comedic bits\, as an entire show is effortlessly crafted from a single word. \n‘Damn near perfect improv‘ – The Glasgow Improv Theatre \nThe Takeover Team\nThe Takeover Team is an assortment of improvisers from the community who have assembled for just two shows.
