29th October – 10th December | Tuesdays | 19:00 – 21:30
You play as different characters all the time in improvisation – even if it’s just a version of yourself – but the most satisfying improvisation happens when those characters feel alive, with their own thoughts, feelings, and desires.
This course explores how to get the most out of your improvised characters and will cover character relationships and attitudes, expanding your range of characters, building a well-rounded cast within scenes, and how to build a satisfying character arc.
This course is part of our Level 2 Performing Improv programme. Completion of Level 1 courses (or equivalent beginner-to-intermediate training) is recommended, but not required.
This course consists of 7 sessions that last for 2.5 hours each, and will be taught by two of our experienced facilitators. Places are capped at 12. Like all our Performing Improv courses, the 7th week includes a showcase performance to a supportive audience of friends, family, and fellow students
