Mental Health Awareness Week

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

Mental Health Awareness Week is happening from 9th to 15th May 2022 with the official theme of loneliness. This year, we’re inviting our audiences and students to donate to local mental health charity Changes Bristol to raise awareness of this important event.

At the Bristol Improv Theatre, we believe improv can be a fantastic additional treatment for mental health challenges or to overcome social anxiety and isolation (particularly pressing during the pandemic). Taking part in an improv class gently opens participants up to vulnerability, allowing space for insightful conversations, active listening and enormous amounts of support.

We’ve witnessed the transformative effect improv can have on people’s lives and that’s why we want to raise awareness and invite conversations around our mental health throughout the month of May. All of the donations we receive from the events below will go to Changes Bristol. So come along, give improv a go and help us raise money and awareness for a worthy cause!
