We are recruiting for a permanent Theatre School Manager at Bristol Improv Theatre. Working 21 hours per week, primarily in person at the theatre in the heart of Clifton. The successful candidate will manage a pool of 10-15 freelance instructors and work closely with the whole theatre team to manage the continued success and future growth of our Theatre School.

In brief responsibilities will include:
- Scheduling and organising a year round improv theatre school classes/courses/specialist instructors
- Expanding the theatre school offering
- Responsibility for accurate and comprehensive information and listing
- All aspects of managing theatre school freelance instructors
- Maintaining and updating all course syllabi and resources
- Gathering and analysing student feedback – making recommendations and reports
- Working with head of marketing to identify new audiences for theatre school
- Close collaboration with Operations Manager and Box Office manager
- Developing community programmes
- Working to improve accessiblity of courses
You will need to be organised, a great communicator and motived to ensure all of our Theatre School students have the best experience possible. You will need the ambition and enthusiasm required to lead the expansion of our Theatre School.

About Bristol Improv Theatre
The Bristol Improv Theatre is the UK’s first full-time dedicated improv theatre. We create, teach and perform spontaneous theatre that is welcoming, creatively ambitious and unapologetically entertaining. We host renowned improv and comedy acts from all over the UK and overseas, as well as being a hub for talented local troupes.
Our Theatre School is unique in its offering of welcoming and well held space for exploring improv at all levels, and is often the first experience of theatre training or performing for participants. We currently have 10 regular 6-7 courses in rotation, along with stand-alone drop in sessions, and intensives led by visiting instructors that vary from a few hours to week-long programmes.
