Christmas is over, and we’re into 2025! If you’re feeling the financial squeeze after the holidays, we’ve got you covered. We have an abundance of great value improv shows in January, with double bills and fantastic support acts. Read on to see all the fun events that you (and your wallet) will love! 

Double Bill | Storm Compass & What Happened in the Interval

Friday 10th January, 8PM | £13/ £10

Take a break from the January grind with this mind-bending improv double bill! Two genre-defying shows that play with reality and time whilst exploring human relationships, inspired by audience suggestions that will take on a life of their own. Featuring Storm Compass (a show from Real Positive Poles), and What Happened in the Interval.

Double Bill | The Pressure Cooker & Beansville Present: The Workplace

Saturday 11th January, 8PM | £13/ £10

Feeling the pressure back at work this January? Join us for a cathartic night exploring the unique characters and tricky situations in two improvised workplace tales. Bristol stalwarts Beansville take your suggestions to create a one-of-a-kind workplace setting, whilst The Pressure Cooker whip up a tense, yet hilarious, drama worthy of an episode of hit tv series The Bear.

Do Not Adjust Your Stage: The Wunderkammer (with support from Jazz Police)

Friday 24th January, 8PM | £14/ £10

DNAYS return to Bristol for 2025 – Improvised comedy sketches and scenes inspired by TED-style talks from guest speakers. Previous guest speakers include a professional extreme snowboarder, a Greenpeace activist, the scientist who cloned Dolly the sheep, a Game of Thrones superfan and a piracy expert. With support from Jazz Police.

Antics Joke Show ft. Biscuit Barrel

Saturday 25th January, 8PM | £13/ £10

Up the Antics are back with their hit comedy variety night! This month, featuring quickfire sketch comedy from Biscuit Barrel (★★★★★ – the Mumble). Plus improv from Up the Antics (as heard on BBC Radio 4 Extra), and stand-up comedy from local rising stars!

Giant Steps

Friday 31st January, 8PM | £14/ £10

Created by Max Dickens and Conor Jatter, Giant Steps (★★★★★ – Theatre Weekly) is a ground-breaking fusion of improv comedy and live jazz. Featuring performers from Showstoppers and Austentatious, they’re coming to Bristol after sell-out Edinburgh Fringe and London shows. With support from Bristol-based group H.E.L.E.N!
