Longform Improv Workshop

Tuesday 12th December 8pm - 10pm
  1. × £8 Standard
  2. × £6 Concession

The Bristol Longform Improv Workshop is a weekly drop-in for improvisers who are interested in American-style longform comedic improvisation.

Workshops feature a heavy emphasis on scenework fundamentals and establishing truthful, grounded characters with fun comedic patterns.

Our current drop-in theme is Game Of the Scene and this workshop is focused on playing to the top of your intelligence in a scene.

Game requires a consistent pattern of unusual behavior but generally speaking you still have to act like a normal human being, just with a slight quirk.

This workshop will focus on balancing these two competing needs.

These sessions are open to all, but prior scenework experience and some knowledge of non-narrative longform is recommended.

Supplementary readings and videos are added weekly to the group Facebook page to support the workshops.
