Longform Improv Workshop

Tuesday 5th December 8pm - 10pm
  1. × £8 Standard
  2. × £6 Concession

The Bristol Longform Improv Workshop is a weekly drop-in for improvisers who are interested in American-style longform comedic improvisation.

Workshops feature a heavy emphasis on scenework fundamentals and establishing truthful, grounded characters with fun comedic patterns.

Our current drop-in theme is Game Of the Scene and this workshop is focused on justifications in a scene.

When we have an unusual pattern of behavior we need to give a justification which explains the 'why' and unlocks a wider range of consistent behavior.

We'll work on justifications that help and hinder playing the Game Of the Scene.

These sessions are open to all, but prior scenework experience and some knowledge of non-narrative longform is recommended.

Supplementary readings and videos are added weekly to the group Facebook page to support the workshops.
