Longform Improv Workshop
The Bristol Longform Improv Workshop is a weekly drop-in for improvisers who are interested in American-style longform comedic improvisation.
Workshops feature a heavy emphasis on scenework fundamentals and establishing truthful, grounded characters with fun comedic patterns.
Individual workshops will cover a wide range of longform skills, as well as sessions dedicated to exploring non-narrative formats such as The Harold, The Deconstruction, The Pretty Little Flower, and much more!
Supplementary readings and videos are added weekly to the group Facebook page to support the workshops.
These sessions are open to all, but prior scenework experience and some knowledge of non-narrative longform is recommended.
Monty Sheikh is an experienced improviser and teacher, having founded Bath Improv and joined the University of Aberdeen Improv Society as one of its first members.
Monty trains with several Bristol improv companies and teams, including The Inheritance and The Unscripted Players. Monty joins the BIT as our newest member of our energetic improv instructors collective.
