Kitchen Rules Longform Drop In
The Kitchen Rules Longform Drop In is a weekly drop-in for improvisers who are interested in American-style longform comedic improvisation.
Workshops feature a heavy emphasis on scenework fundamentals and establishing truthful, grounded characters with fun comedic patterns.
Our drop-ins are focusing on Group Work and this workshop focuses on exploring scenes where the entire group will enter the scene incrementally.
Using backline support mechanics such as walk-ons and tags a group which is truly in synch can immediately explore a simple idea to its most heightened consequences within 2 minutes.
We will word on labeling, heightening and subverting simple patterns of behaviour in a way that's overwhelmingly fun for the audience and performers.
These sessions are OPEN TO ALL, but prior scenework experience and some knowledge of non-narrative longform is recommended."
