Anna McNuff - Riding High in South America
Recently named by Conde Naste Traveller as one of the 50 most influential travellers of our time and by the Guardian as one of the top modern female adventurers, there can be no denying that Anna McNuff is someone who grabs life with two hands and shakes things up.
Following on from her 'ridiculous' idea to ride a bike through the 50 states of the USA, her most recent adventure sees her ascend over 80,000 metres on a bike over 6 months riding across South America.
The aim of the journey was simple: Go the longest route over as many mountains as possible, taking in the culture, meeting as many people as possible, and enjoying the landscapes as you go.
Her adventure took her through Bolivia, Chile, then onto Argentina and in this talk she will share some of the stunning scenery she encountered, as well as the highs and lows of spending so much time at 4,000m on a bike!
