Advanced Scenework: Courage, Joy and Vulnerability

This six-week course goes deep into the fundamentals of good scenework, with a load of practical tools for finding your way 'in' to your scenes and retaining the joy of just playing.

There will be lots of individual feedback and side-coaching in scenes to help you identify and break the habits that are holding you back.

The course will be tailored to the needs of you, the students, and for this reason you'll need to apply before you buy your ticket. Don't panic! You don't need years of experience – it's more to make sure the group is balanced.

Please send a brief outline of your performance/improv training and anything else you'd like to include to with the subject line 'Advanced Scenework Application'.

Nic Tann recently moved to Bristol from Brighton, where she was an associate member of improv giants the Maydays and founder-director of Blanket Fort, a long-form improv group she put together in 2012. Her first career was in ballet and contemporary dance, during which she performed, choreographed and taught internationally. Nic's spent over 20 years on stage in various guises, and in the seven she's been improvising she's trained with dozens of improv gurus, including Charna Halpern (iO), Susan Messing (Annoyance), Baby Wants Candy, Steve Jarand (Loose Moose Theatre), and Steve Roe (Hoopla!)
