Exploring Improv: Being Present & Playful

10th August – 31st August
Tuesdays | 19:00 – 21:00

Four weeks exploring a combination of improv exercises, games and scenes where the focus is on being present and playing from the moment! Cat will draw from her expertise as a yoga practitioner to equip participants with tools they can use to practice being grounded, centred and present during improvisation.

A great course for students and performers of all levels who want to practice being more present on stage.

As Katie Goodman, comedian and yoga teacher said in comparing yoga and improv: “In meditation you let thoughts come and go and come back to your breath. In improv, you come back to the scene.”

Cat Murphy performs with BIT Associate Companies Tales of Adventure & The Bish Bosh Bash! She began directing with Novato Theatre Company, making her debut with her show “Second Sun”, and is now the director of ‘The Bish Bosh Story Bash’ and The Unscripted Players show ‘The Stuff of Dreams’. She is a qualified yoga teacher and holds a degree in Drama with Psychology from Bath Spa University.
