Looking to stretch your improvising muscles? Then our drop-ins are for you!
Facilitated by an experienced Bristol Improv Theatre instructor, each class will take a specific skill and explore it through games, exercises and scenes.
The drop-ins run fortnightly on Monday evenings and they’re a great chance to try improv at Bristol Improv Theatre and connect with others.
Monday 10th January – New Year, New Improviser!
In this class, we’ll explore different ways to break performance habits, try on different styles and bring a breath of fresh air to our improv.
Monday 24th January – Building Environments
Practice building a world on stage through object-work and interaction with the space.
Monday 7th February – Navigating Auditions.
Auditions for theatre and improv can be daunting. In this class, we draw from the improv concepts of active support and being present to help us make the most of the audition environment.
Monday 21st February – Getting Emotional in Scenes.
Emotions can transform and lift a scene. In this session, we explore how we can communicate them and bring change into scenework.
