A Vampire Story

A Vampire Story

Written by Moira Buffini, Directed by John Walton

10th – 12th February | 19:30

Two young women try to settle in a small British town. Their names are not their own. Their relationship with each other is not clear. Are they sisters, as their assumed identities declare? Or are they mother and daughter?

As the younger of the two begins to tell her story, a strange and ambiguous past is revealed.

A Vampire Story was written for the National Theatre’s Connections programme 2008. It was the basis for the 2012 film Byzantium.
